The NFL season is underway and we get to extrapolate things from week 1. Yep, one week in and we certainly know more than we should, and it shows with these NFL odds at FanDuel.
Some teams have a lot to prove after disastrous openings. Other teams will look to build on impressive debuts. Let’s take a look at the prices from one of best online sportsbooks in NJ.
FanDuel NFL Odds for Week 2:
FanDuel Sportsbook NFL odds for week 2 aren’t all that shocking, but there may be a few surprises along the way.
Thursday Night:
Buccaneers (+7) at Panthers (-7) / Total Odds: 49.5
Sunday afternoon – 1 PM Kickoffs:
Vikings (+3) at Packers (-3) / Total Odds: 46.5
Sometimes a game comes up and the FanDuel prices make you think the books got the numbers reversed. This game might be it, after watching the Pack struggle for a win at Chicago and then seeing the Vikings easily dispatch Atlanta Sunday. But NFL odds are created for a reason, and oddsmakers usually know what they’re doing.
Green Bay hasn’t won the last four games against Minnesota, including the 29-29 tie at Lambeau last year. The Vikes should run the ball more effectively than the Bears did in the season opener.
Bills (-2) at Giants (+2) / Total Odds: 43.5
Buffalo goes for the Meadowlands sweep following their comeback win against the Jets last week. The Giants look to bounce back after their thumping at Dallas.
- Cardinals (+13) at Ravens (-13) / Total Odds: 47
- Cowboys (-4.5) at Redskins (+4.6) / Total Odds: 46
- Colts (+3) at Titans (-3) / Total Odds: 44.5
- Jaguars (+8.5) at Titans (-8.5) / Total Odds: 43
- Chargers (-2.5) at Lions (+2.5) / Total Odds: 47.5
- Patriots (-18.5) at Dolphins (18.5) / Total Odds: 48
- 49ers (+1) at Bengals (-1) / Total Odds: 45
- Seahawks (+4.5) at Steelers (-4.5) / Total Odds: 46.5
Sunday Afternoon – 4 PM Kickoffs:
Chiefs (-7.5) at Raiders (+7.5) / Total Odds: 52.5
Bears (-2.5) at Broncos (+2.5) / Total Odds: 40.5
Saints (+2.5) at Rams (-2.5) / Total Odds: 53
Sunday Night:
Eagles (-1) at Falcons (+1) / Total Odds: 51
There’s some dissension over this number among the books. FanDuel and William Hill have it closer than DK and PlaySugarHouse, who have Philly giving two.
The Eagles are looking to build on their impressive second half to beat Washington, while Atlanta will try to get the taste of their defeat at Minnesota out of their mouths.
The game may hinge on if the Eagles secondary can cover better against the Falcons’ premier receiving crew than they did in the first half when they spotted the Redskins a 17-0 lead.
Monday Night:
Browns (-2.5) at Jets (+2.5) / Total Odds: 45.5
It’s a rematch on MNF’s debut game in 1970. Both teams are looking to bounce back from stunning losses at home to start the season.
The Browns’ win last year stopped the five-game winning streak the Jets accumulated in this series. The last time Cleveland won in the Meadowlands was 2007. Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold were still playing Pop Warner then probably.
