As the world of major sports is put on pause, for now, fans and bettors around the country are turning to esports.

The NBA is next to get in line as they’ll be running a massive NBA2K contest with 16 professional players going head-to-head in the NBA2K contest – NBA2k Players Tournament.

NBA2K Players Tournament: Kevin Durant, Donovan Mitchell
The NBA has announced that 16 of their star players will be competing in an NBA2K tournament in the coming days with the broadcast slated to air on ESPN. The players will go head-to-head in games in will be a bracket-style tournament where the winner takes all.
The first wave of games will start on Friday, April 3 followed by the second wave on Sunday, April 5th. From there, we’ll see the quarterfinals on April 7, which is next Tuesday, and they’ll we’ll have the semifinals and finals on April 11th. That final four will be a best-of-three series.

BetMGM Posts $20 K Pool For NBA2K Contest
If you’re looking to get a taste of the action yourself, BetMGM is offering its customers a way to get involved.
They’ll be running a free-to-play bracket for all New Jersey residents (must prove you’re a resident) who are 21 years or older. You have to open/create a BetMGM Sportsbook account but you don’t have to make a deposit to participate.
How it works is you’ll fill out a bracket almost as you would for March Madness. That means you predict who’ll move on for each round and then eventually win the tournament.
There is a $20,000 prize for a perfect bracket – if anyone can nail it. If multiple people are perfect, then the prize will be split in multiple ways.
