Player Props To Bet
Miles Sanders Under 47.5 Rushing Yards
The Eagles actually lead the league in yards-per-carry at 5.4 but the problem is they don’t run it very often. Their 91 attempts are the sixth-fewest in the NFL and keep in mind that quarterback Jalen Hurts has 34 of them.
Add in that they’re going up against the league’s 10th-best rush defense and that Kenneth Gainwell is being used more and it’s hard to trust Saunders to go over here.
Gainwell Over 23.5 Receiving Yards
Everything that we hear out of Philadelphia is the Eagles backfield is becoming more and more of a time share. Saunders hasn’t been able to bust loose and Gainwell has been the more effective of the two backs.
Expect Saunders to keep getting the carries but Gainwell has been a decent choice in the passing game. Look for him to hope over the short number of 23.5. He’s had at least three targets every week and saw season-highs for receptions (six), targets (eight) and receiving yards (58) last week. His role is growing.
Christian McCaffrey is doubtful for the Carolina Panthers, which means that the team will once again turn to Chuba Hubbard to carry the mail.
He’s now had back-to-back games where he’s been asked to step up and he’s handled at least 11 carries in each while compiling just over 50 yards each time. While he hasn’t found the end zone yet, this could be the spot where he does it. He’s worth a shot here with McCaffrey out of the way.
